Azure Fundamentals AZ-900
On completion of the Azure Fundamentals exam, candidates will have a thorough knowledge of cloud concepts, Azure services, Azure workloads, security and privacy in Azure, as well as Azure pricing and support. Candidates should be familiar with the general technology concepts, including concepts of networking, storage, compute, application support, and application development.
Azure Data Fundamentals DP-900
The Azure Data Fundamentals is intended for candidates beginning to work with data in the cloud. The exam covers core data concepts, relational and non-relational data on Azure as well as analytics workload on Azure.
Candidates should be familiar with the concepts of relational and non-relational data, and different types of data workloads such as transactional or analytical. Concepts covered is the AZ-900 exam would be very beneficial. This exam prepares for other Azure role-based certifications like Azure Database Administrator Associate or Azure Data Engineer Associate.
Data Engineer DP-203
Candidates for this exam should have subject matter expertise in integrating, transforming, and consolidating data from various structured and unstructured data systems into BI solutions. Topics covered include data storage and processing, implementing data security as well as monitoring and optimising data storage and data processing.
Candidates for this exam must have strong knowledge of data processing languages such as SQL, Python, or Scala, and they need to understand parallel processing and data architecture patterns. (Take our free Python course here).
Data Engineer
As a certified LDI Data Engineer, you will have mastered the most important data engineering tools in Azure by studying for and passing the appropriate Microsoft certifications.
You understand the data through exploration, and build and maintain secure and compliant data processing pipelines by using different tools and techniques. Additionally, you help ensure that data pipelines and data stores are high-performing, efficient, organized, and reliable, given a set of business requirements and constraints.
Your journey starts with understanding the fundamentals of the Azure cloud platform including workloads, security and workloads. You then progress to work with data in the cloud by understanding relational and non-relational data and work with different types of data workloads such as transactional and analytical workloads.
The strong understanding of cloud concepts and data fundamentals will prepare for the final stage where you will learn how to design and implement data storage and design and develop data processing, design and implement data security and monitor and optimize data storage and data processing.
